Well wet worms, perfect weather for squelching about looking for worms. We had fun singing our worm songs and reading “Wonderful Worms”. The children learned how to stretch out long and thin and shrink up short and fat to move along. They also learned how the worms mix up the soil to help the plants grow through our songs and rhymes. We had lots of sensory, wormy, fun putting our hands in a bowl of cooked spaghetti and painting with the strands. We also found worms in our ‘mud’ play dough. We made a worm farm with layers of sand and soil so we can see how the worms mix up the soil. lots of muddy fun!
