We started work on our vegetable garden this week. We read ‘ The Big Book of Vegetable Growing’ and talked about what we would be planting,we also looked at, smelled and even tasted the  real items.  The Tuesday class planted some onions in nice straight lines and we had lots of fun digging up the earth….. The main event of the class was hunting for worms to place in our home made worm farm. We found some giant worms that were actually too big for the jar so just watched them wriggle in the soil, some brave children had them wriggle on their hands!

We also had lots of fun with our creative activities. There was colorful worm spaghetti to paint with and mud play-dough with hidden string worms to find.
